Founded in 1972 by David and Leonard Zmijewski as a partnership and incorporated in 1976, Mr. David's Flooring International, Ltd. has become the foremost provider of material and labor in the floor covering industry throughout the United States and around the world. Mr. David's humble beginning sprang from servicing the needs of residential clientele, but quickly escalated to the world of commercial floor covering as the business began to mature.

Mr. David's first major commercial job was the renovation of the Hyatt Regency at O'Hare International Airport in 1975. The Hyatt Corporation was so pleased with Mr. David's professional manner, quality results, and timely scheduling that it asked Mr. David's to work with them on the renovation of its flagship property, Hyatt Chicago. That experience led Mr. David's to realize installing commercial floor covering was its calling, and the rest is history. Today Mr. David's and Hyatt continue to enjoy their long partnership, and Mr. David's is responsible for over 50% of the carpet installation at all of their properties in the United States.
